Instalando o Vmware-Server 2.0.2 no CentOS 5.7

# cd /tmp
# mkdir downloads
# cd downloads

Faça o download do VMware 2.0.2 (tar.gz)

https://www.vmware.com/tryvmware/p/activate.php?p=server20&lp=1&a=DOWNLOAD_FILE&baseurl=http://download2.vmware.com/software/server/&filename=VMware-server-2.0.2-203138.i386.tar.gz

# tar -xvzf VMware-server-2.0.0-116503.i386.tar.gz
# cd vmware-server-distrib
# ./vmware-install.pl

Tente acessar via browser https://ipdoseuserver:8333

Se tiver problema para acessar execute os seguintes procedimentos

# mkdir /pub
# cd /pub
# wget http://vault.centos.org/5.3/os/i386/CentOS/glibc-2.5-34.i686.rpm
# mkdir tmp
# cd tmp
# rpm -Uvh --root=/pub/tmp --nodeps ../glibc-2.5-34.i686.rpm
# mkdir /usr/lib/vmware/lib/libc.so.6
# ## Rename the libc-2.5.so to libc.so.6 as below.
# cp /pub/tmp/lib/libc-2.5.so /usr/lib/vmware/lib/libc.so.6/libc.so.6
# ## Edit /usr/sbin/vmware-hostd and add the line just above last eval command.

export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/lib/vmware/lib/libc.so.6:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH

eval exec “$DEBUG_CMD” “$binary” “$@”

# chcon -t texrel_shlib_t /usr/lib/vmware/vmacore/libvmacore.so.1.0
# chcon -t texrel_shlib_t /usr/lib/vmware/vmacore/libvmomi.so.1.0
# service vmware restart
# ## Make sure vmware-hostd is running.
# ps -ef |grep hostd
root 4423 1 0 14:49 ? 00:00:04 /usr/lib/vmware/bin/vmware-hostd -a -d -u /etc/vmware/hostd/config.xml
